On Tuesday, December 2nd, the Board of Education and Superintendent Darrisaw-Akil recognized excellence and service at their Board of Education meeting. They recognized two amazing scholars: Arianna Fraser, Northern Parkway, Grand Prize Winner of the New York State PTA "Every Child Reads Student award Destini Barrow, Uniondale High School, 2nd Place winner of the Hofstra University Celebration of Suburban Diversity Essay contest and for being appointed to the national Teen Advisory Council of Girls, Inc. Additionally, the Board recognized the PTA leaders of Northern Parkway, Grand Avenue, Smith Street and Uniondale High School for being awarded Trailblazer status by the New York State PTA association.
